初めまして。フォトグラファーの和栗公祐（わぐり・こうすけ）です。皆んなからはワグのニックネームで呼ばれています。HIGHSOX SKATEBOARDSの社員として働きながら、ショップライダーとの撮影やMxMxM, CHUULIP, ケンティー率いる PEACENLOVE クルーと一緒に撮影しています‼最近ではナオヤンが新しく映像を作るみたいでその撮影にも同行させてもらってます。僕が働いているHIGHSOXは、今年10周年なので、それに合わせて、とんでもないビデオを作ってるのでお楽しみに。PANCAKE magで採用された写真を含む、最近撮ったお気に入りの写真をご紹介しますのでよければ見てください。きっかけあればやってみたいことは役者です。😂
Hi there! I’m Kosuke Waguri, a photographer, but you can just call me Wag. I work at HIGHSOX SKATEBOARDS, and I’m always out shooting with our shop riders, as well as with crews like MxMxM, CHUULIP, and Kenty’s PEACENLOVE crew! Lately, I’ve been tagging along with Naoyan, who’s working on a new video project. HIGHSOX is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, so we’re maiking together an epic video for the occasion. Stay tuned! I’d love for you to check out some of my favorite recent shots, including the ones featured in PANCAKE mag. Oh, and if the chance ever comes up, I’d love to try my hand at acting. 😂

この日初めましてのケヤキ君。映像で彼が子どもの頃からビデオでよく見ていたが、まさか彼を撮る日がくるとは...。いつも歩く原宿の街並みで、通る度に、いつかココをメイクする人が出てきたらヤバいなと思っていたスポットです。一体何をトライするんだ。何をやってもヤバい...! 噂ではネギソラが１週間前に50-50を最近メイクしたとのこと。5-0やります‼︎ ヤバすぎる。本当?? 緊張感漂う中、まず試しにボードスライド。そこからの50-50ワンメイク。流石...。ケヤキ君の準備は完了、いざ5-0。僕は開いた口が塞がらない中、彼はbackside 5-0をわずか3発でメイク‼︎ アンビリーバボー、最高な夏の始まりです。NIKE SBからリリースされるビデオが楽しみです‼︎
It was my first time meeting Keyaki Ike that day. I’ve watched him grow up in videos, and I never imagined I’d get to shoot him someday. There’s this spot in Harajuku I always pass by, thinking it’d be insane if someone ever landed a trick there. And now, here he is, ready to give it a shot. Whatever he does, it’s gonna be epic! Rumor has it that Sora Negishi landed a 50-50 there just a week ago. Now Keyaki’s going for a 5-0. Unbelievable. Is he serious?? He starts with a boardslide, then nails a 50-50 on the first try. So smooth...! Now he’s ready for the 5-0. I was totally speechless, and he lands a backside 5-0 in just three tries! Unbelievable, what a fantastic start to the summer! Can’t wait for the video from NIKE SB to drop!

夕日が落ちる限られた時間の中、導かれたスポットで滑川はヒッピージャンプをさらりとメイク。まだ成長しきっていない小柄な体格だからこそ、この狭い空間を簡単に攻略できたのであろうか、いやきっとそんなことはない。中学三年生とは思えない肝が座っているからこそのメイク。
In the limited time before sunset, Namekawa casually landed a hippie jump at a spot we were led to. Perhaps it was his small, still-growing stature that allowed him to conquer this tight space so easily. No, that's definitely not the case. It's because he has the guts of someone far beyond his years that he managed to pull it off, even though he's only in 9th grader.

いつもトキヤは僕の想像を超えたとんでもないことをやりだす。アプローチも曲がりながら入らないといけなかったり、路面も湿ってウィールが滑りやすくなっている悪条件の中でのkickflip。トキヤはいつも僕に興奮と衝撃を与えてくれます。逆RECした仲間のためにもう1回メイクしているのはここだけの秘密。熱い男です。
Tokiya always does the most unbelievable things, surpassing my imagination. Despite having to approach while turning and the slippery wheels due to the wet surface, he executed a kickflip under such bad conditions. Tokiya always brings excitement and amazement to me. It's a secret here, but he made it again for a friend who had missed his recording. He’s a passionate guy.

キクジロウと初めての撮影。異臭放つ立ち入り禁止のバレたらどうなるかわからないスポットにキクジロウと僕は連れられ、アップなしのfront crooks。メイクと同時に警備員も到着。ミッション完了。
My first shoot with Kikujiro. We were taken to a spot reeking with a foul odor and strictly off-limits, where who knows what could happen if we were caught. Without any warm-up, Kikujiro nailed a frontside crooks. The moment he landed it, a security guard arrived. Mission accomplished.

駅の地下通路、セキュリティーレベルMAX。テールを叩ける数が少ない中での必殺仕事人の本領発揮。滞在時間10分の中でなんと2回メイク。足早に退散する中、無事に地上へと上がった瞬間の大興奮は忘れられません。

In the underground passage of a station, with maximum security. Despite the limited opportunities to pop his tail, Kento demonstrated his mastery. In just 10 minutes of being there, he made it twice. The excitement as we quickly escaped and safely reached the surface is unforgettable.

名だたるスケーターたちにが攻略されてきた高架下のスポット。トキヤはここで一体何をやるのか。さすがにレコード更新は生まれないだろうと思いながら行きましたが、翼が生えているのかと思わせる浮遊感満載のkickflip。時が止まって見えた瞬間の一枚です。
A spot under the overpass that has been conquered by many renowned skaters. What could Tokiya possibly do here? I went thinking there wouldn't be any new record-breaking moments, but his kickflip was so full of a sense of floating that it made it seem like he had wings. This is the shot of that moment when time seemed to stand still.

ナオヤンから急遽誘ってもらった京之助との撮影。僕はツアーから帰ってきたばかりでしたが、京之助と撮影したことがなかったので、何がなんでも撮りたい、撮ってみたい‼ すぐにナオヤンと合流してLET GO‼ 京之助を迎えに行くと、ルームメイトのオナブとガクトが一緒にスタンバイしてくれていました。早朝にも関わらず、ラスボスを倒しに戦場へと向かう一行。スポットを改めて生で見るとクイックだし、高いし、グラインドも滑らなそう…。そんな想像をしながらスタンバイしていると、京之助が準備完了。ファーストトライから、コレはイケそうだなと感じさせる動き..。程なくして眠気や疲れも吹っ飛ぶぐらいのクリーンメイク‼ この後の朝日は最高に気持ちよかった〜! "GLOW"のパートリリースおめでとう‼ ちなみに僕とガクトは偶然お揃いの京之助のフォトTシャツを着ていました😂
I got a last-minute invite from Naoyan to shoot with Kyonosuke Yamashita. I had just come back from a tour, but I had never shot with Kyonosuke before and I wanto to shoot him really..! So I met up with Naoyan and we were off! When we picked up Kyonosuke, his roommates Onabu and Gakuto were already waiting with him. Despite the early hour, we headed to the spot like we were off to defeat the final boss like video games. Seeing the spot in person, it looked quick, high, and the grind didn’t seem too smooth. As I was imagining all this, Kyosuke got ready. From his first try, I could tell he was going to nail it... And soon enough, he landed so clean...! The sunrise after that was absolutely amazing. Kyonosuke, congrats on your "GLOW" part release!! And Gakuto and I were both coincidentally wearing matching photo T-shirts of Kyonosuke' skate😂.

プッシュが絵になるスケーターは格好良い。レナ・スナサワのプッシュが格好良い。ということで本人にあれこれ訊いてみました。
A skater who has a cool push is undeniably stylish. Lena Sunasawa has it. So, we asked her various things.

----スケートを始めたきっかけは？
----What was the trigger for starting skateboarding?

高校を卒業する頃にマモミ（Magical Mosh Misfits）の服が好きでよく着てたんですけど、青森の街で偶然マモミのライダーの矢野さんとクニさん（@yanomochi  @slvr_92）が通りがかって、まつりんぐパークという冬限定のスケートパークを教えてもらったんです。行ってみたら「スケボーかっけえ…！」って衝撃を受けたんです。その日まで青森にスケーターがいるのも、パークがあるのも知らなかったです。当時は学生だったのでお金がなく、人からデッキを借りて滑ってました。でも、ある日、女性スケーターのあやみずさん（@25082506a）が、使っていたコンプリートデッキを突然プレゼントしてくれたんです。すごくありがたくて、その日からスケートのことで頭がいっぱいになりました。まつりんぐパークは、毎年冬になるとHSA（八戸スケートボード愛好会）の皆さんが、仕事終わりに集まってセクションを1からコツコツ組み立てて作ってくれていました。元々は三社大祭という八戸市で開催されるお祭りの山車小屋を3ヶ月限定で間借りしていたこともあり、オープン期間が終わったら全部バラバラに戻さなければいけませんでした。私も少しだけお手伝いしたんですが、すごく根気のいる作業で...。HSAの皆さんがあの寒い中でパーク作りをしてくれたおかげで、私はスケートボードや仲間に出会うことができたので感謝でしかないです。
Around the time of high school graduation, I liked wearing clothes from Magical Mosh Misfits (MAMOMI). I often wore their clothes. One day in Aomori city, I happened to meet MAMOMI riders Yano-san（@yanomochi） and Kuni-san (@slvr_92) by chance, and they told me about Matsuring Park, a winter-only skate park. When I actually went there, I was shocked. I thought "How skateboarding is cool...!"  I didn't know there were skaters and skate parks in Aomori until that day. As a student at that time, I didn't have money, so I borrowed a skateboard from someone and skated with. However, a female skater Ayamizu (@25082506a) suddenly gave me the complete board. I was very grateful. From that day on, my head was filled with thoughts about skateboarding. Matsuring Park has been built from scratch every winter by members of I (Hachinohe Skateboard Assosiation) after work. Originally, they borrowed a part of garage for the Hachinohe City festival called Sansha Taikai, and it had a limited three-month opening. After the period ended, everything had to be disassembled. I helped a little, but it was a very patient task. Thanks to everyone at I, I met skateboarding and friends in the park, so I can only express my gratitude. I’m so thanksfull.

----地元・青森から岩手と東京に移り住んだ理由は何かある？
----What brought you Iwate and Tokyo, from your hometown Aomori?

青森でスケートしていて、岩手県花巻市にdprtment(デパートメント)（@dprtmentsp）って面白そうなパークがあるのを知って行ってみたんです。それからdprtmentのライダーにして頂くことになり、岩手に移住しました。住み込みで旅館の仲居さんや工場の仕事をしながら、女の子限定のスケートスクールをさせてもらいました。パークはマルカンビルというデパートの地下にあって、何度通っても飽きない楽しいパークなので岩手に行く方にはぜひおすすめしたいです。同じビル内のマルカンビル食堂のナポリカツとプリンパフェもお気に入りです。青森から都内に遊びに行った時、友達伝いでフィルマーのHans（@hansyklein）と知り合い、パートを撮ってくれることになったのがきっかけで東京に引っ越しする決意をしました。でも東京の暮らしはハードで、電車移動は大変だし、家で窓を開けていたら盗撮されたり、ATMに並んでいたら怪しいマッサージの仕事に勧誘されたりと気を緩められないです…。でも、スケートに関しては滑る場所が沢山あって友達も多いので楽しいです。何よりも東北のように寒くない！東北のスローライフに慣れ過ぎていたので、1年が半年くらいに感じました。
While skateboarding in Aomori, I heard about an interesting park called dprtment (@dprtmentsp) in Hanamaki City, Iwate. I went there and they hooked me up for a shop-rider for dprtment, so I moved to Iwate. I lived there while working at a ryokan (Japanese traditional hotel ) and a factory, and I had the opportunity to run a girls-only skate school. The park is located in the basement of a department store called Marukan Building and is very fun skate-park that never gets you boring. I highly recommend it to those who go to Iwate. I also love the Napoli-Katsu and Pudding-Parfait at the Marukan Building cafeteria. When I came to Tokyo to visit my friends from Aomori, I met Hans (@hansyklein), a filmer, and he offered me to film my video part. That’s why I decided to move to Tokyo. However, life in Tokyo is so tough to me. Commuting by train is crazy hard. And when I was at home with the windows open and I was voyeuristically photographed. And standing in line at an ATM, I was offerd for suspicious massage jobs. It’s hard to let me guard down... But for skateboarding, there are many places to skate, and there are many friends, so it’s fun. Above all, it’s not as cold as Tohoku! I got too used to the slow life in Tohoku, and one year feels like about six months in Tokyo.

----これまでスケートしてきて、影響を受けた人はいる？
----Have you been influenced by anyone with your skateboarding ?

スケートを始めた時、まつりんぐパークにいたグリコ（@g1ico）さんというスケーターが私の憧れでした。青森ではアールばかりやっていたので三本木心（@shin_sanbongi）さんの波に乗っているようなスケートをよく見ていました。あと少し前にスケートを楽しめない時期があったんですけど『TIME SCAN 2』（@timescan）に出てくる宮城豪（@g0umiyagi）さんのパートを見てからはスケートを始めた頃のシンプルな感情を思い出させてくれる感じがして、全部吹っ切れました。海外のスケーターではVIOLETのEfron Danzig（@3fron）とPALACEのVille Wester（@villewester）が格好良くて好きですね。
When I started skating, Glico (@g1ico) at Matsuring Park was my idol. In Aomori, I mainly did ramps, so I often watched Shin Sanbongi's (@shin_sanbongi) skate video like riding the wave. There was a period when I couldn't enjoy skateboarding a little while ago, but when I saw Gou Miyagi (@g0umiyagi)’s video part in “Time Scan 2” (@timescan), it changed my mind completely. It reminded me of the simple emotions I had when I started skateboarding. Among overseas skaters, I like VIOLET's Efron Danzig (@3fron) and PALACE's Ville Wester (@villewester) because they're cool for me.

----スケートしていて、どんな瞬間が楽しい？
----What moments do you find enjoyable when skateboarding?

理想を形にできた時。友だちと喜びを分かち合う瞬間。滑り終わったあとのグダる感じも好きです。性別関係なく色んな人と滑りますが、街で撮影する時は男の子と動いた方が、良いスポットや、セキュリティのかわし方も熟知してると思うので安心します。あと撮るのが上手い。
When I've realized my ideal form. The moments of sharing joy with friends. I also like the feeling of chill after skating. Although I skate with various people regardless of gender, I feel more at ease moving around with guys when shooting on the street. They seem to be well-versed in good spots and how to handle security. Also, they are skilled at filming.

カフェとイタリアンのキッチンのバイトをかけ持ちしてます。休日は小金井公園か大手町でスケートするか、友達に誘われたら一緒に遊びに行きます。映画やアニメ、本、ライブも好きだし、ビーズでアクセサリーを作ったりもします。あと気づいたら人間観察してるかも。
I have part-time jobs at a cafee and an Italian's kitchen in Nagatacho. On holidays, I skate at Koganei Park or Otemachi street. Or, going out with my friends. I also enjoy movies, anime, books, and music lives. I make accessories with beads. And, without realizing it, I might be observing people.

----独自のリラックス方法は？
----Do you have some unique method to relax?

最近リラックスする暇なかったかもしれないです。時間がある時は片付けた部屋でお香を焚いてまったりするのが好きです。あと自然が多いところは落ち着きますね。
I might not have had time to relax recently. When I have time, I like to burn incense in a tidy room and relax. Also, I feel calm in places with a lot of nature.

『ラストナイト・イン・ソーホー』です。60年代イギリスの世界観が目で楽しめて、終わりに近づくにつれ胃がキリキリするホラーミステリー。サンディ役のアニャ・テイラー＝ジョイが可愛くて。
"Last Night in Soho." The 60s British atmosphere is visually enjoyable, and as it approaches the end, it becomes a stomach-churning horror mystery. Anya Taylor-Joy, who plays Sandy, is so cute really.

----I was curious about the accessories you wear.

東京に来て店を廻ったりしたんですが、意外と欲しいものって売ってなくて。だから自分で作っちゃおうと思って、ビーズでネックレスやブレスレット、チャームを作るようになりました。ブランド名は PEAZE（ピーズ）。PEACEとビーズとニックネームの PEZ をかけました。私は争いごととか苦手な平和主義なので、もらった人が PEACE になってくれればいいなと思い作っています。インスタでオーダーを呼びかけてみたら思いのほか欲しいと言ってくれる人がいて嬉しかったです。アウトドア派なので家で制作する時間が少なく完成まで時間がかかることもあるんですが、もの作りは好きなのでこれからも続けていきたいです。
When I came to Tokyo and went around the shops, surprisingly, the things I wanted weren't available. So, I decided to make them myself and started creating necklaces, bracelets, and charms with beads. The brand name is PEAZE. It combines PEACE, BEADS, and my nickname PEZ. I'm not good at conflict, and I'm a peace-loving person, so I hope the recipients become peacefulll. When I called for orders on Instagram, surprisingly, some people said they wanted them, and it made me happy. I'm an outdoor person, so I don't have much time to create at home, and it takes time to complete, but I love making things, so I want to continue.

----Finally, do you have any goals or aspirations for the future?

目標は色々ありますが、言ってしまうとそれに縛られてしまう気がするので、ここでは秘密にしておきます。それ以外では動画を撮って編集するのも好きなので、動画を通して友達のスケーターをプッシュしたいです。もしスケートができなくなったら保育士に戻って、施設の子どもたちの役に立つ仕事っていうのも良いなと思っています。
I have various personal goals, but I feel like mentioning them will constrain me, so I'll keep them a secret here. Apart from that, I also like shooting and editing videos, so I want to push my friends' skating through videos. If I can't skate anymore, I would consider returning to being a childcare worker and doing a job that helps the children in the facility.
